Norma Saunders opened her doors in a tiny Seaside restaurant in 1976. Soon visitors and locals waited in long lines for Norma's mouthwatering seafood. Within a few years she moved her growing restaurant from it's original location on Broadway to it's present address where it has continued to flourish. After Norma passed away the Restaurant was run by her daughter and son in law who reside in Iowa.

In the winter of 2000 negotiations began with the current owners Randy and Darleen Frank who opened after a remodel, on March 20, 2001. A resident since 1965, Randy came to know Norma through his parents' company Comella Produce. The Franks bring a combined 50 years of experience in the industry (mostly local) and enjoyed becoming acquainted with "Norma veterans" as well as enticing new recruits. On a given day one may also see daughters Essie or Abby hard at work serving the faithful and newcomers alike.
